Programme Overview

Urban and regional planning promotes the physical, aesthetical, economics and social development of urban and rural areas in the nest interest of the community. It achieves this through guidance and control that ensures development occurs in the right place, at the right time and for the right reasons.

Urban and regional planning ensures that the land is used efficiently and buildings are located in positions where services and facilities can be provided. It also tries to secure a proper balance between competing demands for land so that the land is used to the best of all the community.

Admission Requirements

In order to become eligible for admission to the undergraduate degree programmes, the applicant should satisfy the following requirements:
Have ‘0’ level passes in Mathematics and English, which are compulsory and compose schedule A of the required courses;
Have ‘0’ level passes in either one or two subjects from schedule B, and; Have ‘0’ level passes in one or two subjects from schedule C to make a total of five subjects
