Programme Overview

The aim of the program is to produce graduates with knowledge in animal production. Such knowledge and skills will enable graduates to either employ themselves or be employed in the private or public sector in the animal production industry.

Expected Learning Outcome
At the end of this programme a student will be able to:
– Effectively manage livestock species and livestock industry
– Effectively communicate livestock extension information
– Apply knowledge in livestock production to various production systems
– Plan and execute livestock-based research analyse data and interpret the results
– Plan and formulate livestock agenda and policies
– Employ themselves or be employed in livestock-based and related fields in the private or public sector.

Admission Requirements

Admission for the Bachelor of Science in Animal Science  requires Two principal passes (4 points) in Biology/Zoology and Chemistry/ Science and Practice in Agriculture /Physics/Mathematics OR Diploma with a GPA of not less than 3.0 in Animal Husbandry/ Animal Health/ Agriculture or related fields and O-level certificate or its equivalent with THREE credits or FOUR passes in relevant science subjects at O-level
